Putting the "Pan" in The Pan-American Dream

Okay! Here is my exciting personal news! It was a rainy day in Puerto Rico, I've been taking classes last week and this week to receive my Living Foods Lifestyle certificate, I'm still working full time, and preparing to leave the Ann Wigmore Natural Health Institute (for now)... so I'm exhausted. The video may not express my excitement as well as I would like... but I'm excited!!!

(P.S. I'm becoming conscious of my "And" fillers and am working to remove those for more concise videos when I'm too tired or lazy to edit.)

The Dreams + Adventures Live On: Puerto Rico + Chile?

Hola!

Marty here giving you an update from Puerto Rico where I'm volunteering at the Ann Wigmore Natural Health Institute while continuing to learn the Living Foods Lifestyle which I began studying last summer while interning at the Creative Health Institute.

It's been a while since there's been any momentum on this project, which I see as an ongoing adventure that was on hold.  What I've found over the years is that I get energized by big ideas and goals which seem to alter and change over time.  They may not turn out as expected, but rather manifest eventually along a similar path with guiding intentions.

While reflecting after a break from directing commercials, I still realize that one of my favorite jobs and what gives me much joy is teaching; Not only film and photography, but my new interest in living foods.  Before leaving for Puerto Rico, I prepared an ambitious raw living foods for 20+ friends and family while teaching the basics of the lifestyle and demoing food preparation from pastas, salads, dressing, milks, pates, ferments, and desserts.

I'm happy to be in Puerto Rico where I'm rejuvenating some creative inspiration.  Last week at the market I met some people from the Rincon Cultural Center.  I'm going to begin Spanish lessons with them in a week or two and I'm in the process of setting up some youth film workshops.  Hopefully I can partner with the Rincon Film Festival in April.

Kelly's in Colorado working as a snowboard instructor and may be coming to Puerto Rico in May.

We're also applying to teach English in Chile from July 23-November 30.

I'm also writing about my experience in Puerto Rico on my personal Changing Blog.  I just wrote a post with several photos on an awesome rainforest adventure.

Stay Tuned + Keep Dreaming!
